A STORY BEHIND THIS PRODUCT

ZeroShin came into the market in 1998 and has sold well since then. ZeroShin is known for its an economic feature in that ‘you can use the pencil lead until very end.’ Since then, there are several brands are selling similar products as ZeroShin e.g. PILOT has the ‘Clutch Point Mechanical Pencil’ and MUJI makes ‘Mechanical Pencil’ using a catch-line ‘ABS, you can draw until last 1mm.’

In 2014, Platinum Pen also introduced a new product the ‘OLEeNU mechanical pencil’ that has a lead protection feature in addition to original ZeroShin feature.

The pencil lead is protected from high writing pressures/strong impulses and at the same time, the pencil lead can be used until it is 0.5mm-long.

ZeroShin, on the market since 1998.

The Platinum ZeroShin pencil has a mechanism that supports the lead much nearer the tip than most mechanical pencils. There are two advantages of this mechanism; firstly, the lead is much less likely to break when the pencil is knocked or dropped, and secondly, the lead can be used down to the last millimetre or so where traditional pencils are unable to use the last 10mm or so.

You can use the lead until only 1mm is left.
