A STORY BEHIND THIS PRODUCT

Kokuyo had been searching for a way to create a zero-staple stapler for a long time. However, there wasn’t an easy way.

Another company was working on the same concept staplers, but they weren’t successful due to limitation in holding power.

Kokuyo focused on solving this “weak holding power” aspect of the eco-friendly stapler and developed the ideas.

Thanks to the product team’s huge efforts, “Harinacs” finally came into the market in 2009. “Harinacs” is not only eco-friendly, but is also very functional for its users. For example, in order to strengthen the holding power and to increase the limitation of the number of papers it can hold, Harinacs combined a stapler and hole-punching. It not only helped reducing the waste, but also it helped increasing efficiency in its users; for example, there is no need for sorting out staples from paper when throwing away documents.

Since being on a market, Harinacs has been selling very well. The success of this product was beyond what the production team originally expected and due to using only paper material, it is extremely safe.

Places like child care facilities and the food industry where the safety is extremely important appreciated the Harinacs as an alternative product to be used in their work place. Kokuyo is planning to increase the brand products in a long term.

Eco friendly is a normal standard. The goal is to create something that makes the world a better place.

You can bind papers without using staples and making holes with papers (5 papers).
The mechanism of this is pressing the paper. Therefore, it’s also easy to separate papers as all you need to do is just tear off each sheet.
The lack of staples means that the paper will lie flatter when stacked and also means you can put the paper straight into a shredder or recycle it, without worrying about removing staples.
You also won’t need to un-jam your stapler any more, or go hunting for the spare staples to refill it!
